TULIP TAKEOVER
This work is about joy and being present for the moment.
Tulip Takeover started in 2010 while I was living in Seattle, WA. It began as an attempt to proliferate street art that would appeal to a broader audience. Each hand-cut sticker is made out of reclaimed adhesive vinyl, often sourced from local sign shops.
When installed, these floral gems are placed down low giving the effect of “blooming” from the ground. This work is often placed on street poles and dumpsters, in the places you would least expect to see a flower burst forth. If you come across one in your travels, snap a photo and post using #tuliptakeover.
