QUILTSTALLATION | In 2012, for the first time ever, I was able to explode my fabric collection onto the walls of a project space. This installation environment was made using reclaimed fabric, paper, sheet music, and painted cardboard. It served as the site of my first group critique, a dance video backdrop, and a space of solitude.
First semester of grad school... a layering assignment. I filled the walls of a 10' x 10' studio with reclaimed fabric and paper; an improvisational wall "quilt". I used the environment as a backdrop for dance documentation. This piece continues to remain relevant to my creative practice.
