DAILY DANCE BLOG

January 15, 2020

9:44pm, E 28th Street and Charles Street, Baltimore, MD

I waited until the end of the day to dance. My days have been packed as of late. I'm over doing it, a bit, at the gym. My muscles are sore and I have a general sense of fatigue. No, I am not getting sick. The space feels like a cop out because I am a few blocks from home... okay one block from home. Intersections have the most light, parking lots second. I bounce. What else do you do at the end of the day when you've promised yourself you're going to commit to a project. You bounce. You serenade an 8yd dumpster with your tired ass moves. You wiggle and slide around. I feel relief in making the dance. Today is today. I showed up with what I had available. I danced next to a dumpster and honestly, I enjoyed it. Sometimes I feel like I'm sending ephemeral love notes to Baltimore. When I move, how will this project change? Day fifteen.
