6:14pm, a stone structure in Druid Hill Park near the zoo, Baltimore, MD
Today's site was scouted yesterday on my bike ride with friends. I brought elements from Move Move into the work. I thought about the frame; in terms of the camera, my body, and the architecture of the site. I used movements from the morning workshop and the afternoon's discussion. Again, I attempted to interface with patience and trust. Excavating honesty, a phrase from an Audre Lorde keynote speech, continues to ring in my mind. How does my somatic work facilitate or hinder the excavation of my honesty? Can I stay longer in challenging physical moments, creating more space for trust and patience? How do I allow myself to be more in tune with the physical sensations of emotions in my body, my frame? How does my body frame these emotions? How does my body, my frame act in support of or against others? Am I listening with my entire self? Day one hundred sixty-six.
