Today I nanny-ed. Today I rocked a baby. Today I woke up and my right shoulder (injured) and my right quad were stiff and sore. Today I woke up. I am tired. It's been grey and rainy-ish all day. I don't want to dance. But dance I must. While putting the baby down for their second nap of the day, I rocked left to right to get them to sleep. As they fell asleep and just before I put them in their crib, I decided to start from rocking. It can be slow and it seemingly simple. It requires more muscle control than you think. The lack of baby weight inherently changed how I rocked. Infinitely more public today even thought I am off the street... The backward bend comes back, again. I am self-conscious about my spine strength and mobility. I am tired and sore and I didn't want to dance. I am glad I did anyway. Day three.
