8:41pm, St. Paul Street and E 34th Street, Baltimore, MD

Called my dad on my way to find a site. Wandered longer than usual as we chatted. This site literally jumped out at me from the periphery. A corridor with intense lighting at the end. I am wearing a raincoat. There is a lot of wet sand at the dark end of the corridor. Really good ground sounds. I was excited to move in this space. My body, although tired, felt enlivened. Maybe a little more absorption of the work I've been engaging. Weird little noises kept creeping in while I danced. Ultimately a sound startled me and I walked off camera. The closed in-ness of the space made me feel safer to do larger and faster movements. Perhaps open space is a bit intimidating... there is a constant roar of an AC unit. Seems strange for this time of year. There is a sign on the door at the light end of the corridor. It reads, "THIS LOCATION HAS VIDEO RECORDING EQUIPMENT THAT IS RECORDING 24 HOURS A DAY". Maybe the implied audience gave me more verve. Maybe I'm just verved today. Day fifty-six.
