8:34pm, Keswick Road and alley parallel to W 33rd Street, Baltimore, MD
I knew I was walking to Hampden. Today I have peace about how I've incorporated this project into my life. The parameters are clear and flexible enough to accommodate my shifting work schedule. This alley caught me out of nowhere. Single light source. Green grass patch. Neutral cinder block wall. When I left the house I specifically said out loud, "Let's make a dance." Life choices are floating all around me right now. At least I know I can dance everyday. In some ways, committing to this project is easier than committing to Baltimore. I can't help but psychoanalyze myself a bit. I am looking forward to when I bring my bike back out. Traveling to other neighborhoods is exciting right now. Finding a site can sometimes feel like a ritual. All in all, this work is therapeutic and generative. Day fifty-five.
