I walked by many would be sites... for some, I need trespassing courage. I am having an ongoing internal dialogue about when and where it is acceptable to insert my dancing body into public space. What do I feel comfortable with? What is respectful when it comes to more residential/private spaces? Now it's starting to rain. Part of selection process for this site was thinking about the extended awning and the pending rain. I also like the different horizontal planes within the site. I walked around for a bit without headphones blasting tunes. I think this will be added to my process for this project. Allow myself to more fully tune into a site, the environment, etc... My movement felt natural and expansive. I have a broader repertoire of moves than I give myself credit for. Releasing, relaxing, letting go, being present, patience, awareness... all of this assists in my dance pursuits. These pages are getting sprinkled on. Time to go home and prepare for an evening of work. Day thirty-two.
