DAILY DANCE BLOG

4:45pm, Baltimore City College parking lot off of Lock Raven Blvd, Baltimore, MD

My video cut out before 5 minutes. Not sure why. I got lost on my bike for a bit and then found some epic, open parking lots to noodle around in. Stretched out on warm pavement, which was quite helpful. I've noticed I've been operating from a place of fear lately. In many areas of my life. Today's dance felt exploratory and familiar. Thinking about (but not acting on) performance. It's not that I don't like to perform, I do. I don't seem to experience a "thrill" or "excitement" about it that some of my dance colleagues have. I think of performance when I leave my home but that is much more subtle than a stage performance. Perhaps I like the nuance of performance. Move Move 2020 is coming up and it's got me crunching hard on several thoughts, performance being one of the main ones. I like this site. As soon as I saw it, I knew my bike adventure had paid off. I enjoy thinking of specific sites to dance in but I also enjoy getting lost and letting a site find me. Getting lost has been a fun frustration to impose on myself. Still so much sewing to do and I have to pee. Always with the peeing. Day one hundred thirty-four.
