DAILY DANCE BLOG

Vacant parking lot next to a Safeway. It is so much warmer today and consistently sunny. As I feel more and more enlivened these past couple of days, I am recognizing just how deeply I was affected by last week's full moon. I am still negotiating some of my choices and how they impact my overall well being. Obviously dancing consistently ranks as essential to my function. This dance started a lot slower than I anticipated. SO. MUCH WORK. TO. MOVE. SLOWLY. Next obvious statement... Explore it more! This site drew me in because of the nook with 4 parking spots that became my stage. Lots of traffic all around. People, cars, helicopters... I am very close to the harbor. I noticed, while biking around, that it feels harder to pick a site in less familiar environments. Sometimes, noodling around in a vacant lot helps me "tune in". I do feel called to certain sites. As if they call to my frequency. There isn't anything special about today's site or dance. Compounding on all of the movement research I've engaged. I am feeling slightly more control within my torso and shoulders. The right shoulder isn't ALWAYS taking the lead and I am exploring the articulations I have control over. Maybe I can challenge myself with an early morning workout, ride, and daily dance tomorrow... Day one hundred thirty-one.
