DAILY DANCE BLOG

6:32pm, Park Avenue and Wilson Street, Baltimore, MD

Thought I had a site in mind and then I changed my mind mid-walk. And then this site popped up right before I approached the 2nd selection. Red door got me thinking of Rae Red. I used to live around the corner from this spot. Also, hooray for daylight saving! And it feels like spring in firmly in place... for now. I've already danced quite a bit today. Trying for longer improv sessions at the gym with intermittent stretching. I didn't feel particularly dynamic today but I also didn't feel flat. The last two sites had quite a bit going on in them. This site is a simpler composition. I tried to make use of the width and depth of the "stage". Lots of birds chirping. The bricks on the ground became directional guides for my feet. More graceful feeling in my back bends. Food for thought; If I allow myself to just be as I am and continue the work, I will see the results over time. Dancing, emotional, writing, etc... There is a swelling joy knowing that the evenings will have more light moving forward. Baltimore feels particularly homey today. Day sixty-eight.
