5:31pm, Parking lot behind 2800 Charles Street, Baltimore, MD

I've never been in this lot even though it is literally next to my apartment. I love an empty parking lot. LAYERS is the prompt of the day. I think about the layers of an improv dance... they don't necessarily have specific names or an order. Most of my dances feel layered. Layered in the sense that I am moving through physical and emotional spaces simultaneously. Often I am trying to uncover movement that is within me, underneath the skin. I thought about unwrapping myself. undulating to unstick any residue. Moving from one little pause to the next. I've created a similar composition in terms of content and perspective. This project isn't fresh anymore but it isn't old either. I've wearing what is probably my oldest piece of clothing... this purple hoodie I pulled out of a free box in Seattle. Today I've been realizing how much I love this solitude. Dancing helps uncover truths and emotions. Both applying and removing layers at all times. We are a work in progress. How do you wear your layers? Day eighty-nine.
