DAILY DANCE BLOG

5:57pm, N Charles Street and W 25 1/2 Street, Baltimore, MD

I already went grocery shopping but I need to swing by Safeway for 3 items I couldn't find at Whole Foods. I planned on finding a site en route. This is an alley and a street. I liked the bushes opposite where I danced because they created cover for my tripod setup (visual and physical cover). The world feels strange right now. I am feeling like decisions and choices I've been mulling over for months and years are finally ready to be made. Today's dance came after a brief warm up at home with headphones. I dance entirely different (I think) when music is present. Sometimes site selection has to do with "stage" capacity. The ledge between the brick wall and the road was a perfect proscenium. Of course I intentionally and unintentionally fall off... I felt control and exploration. More speeds. At first I was distracted and my movement felt disjointed and strange. I closed my eyes and tapped into the site. Lots of birds. Constant car sounds. Hey Shorty! Two cars pass through the frame. The last one really pulls me out of the dance. Day seventy-two.
