2:23pm, Georgia Avenue NW and Longfellow Street NW, Washington D.C.
Today I started to feel like myself again. I took a solo walk away from the neighborhood my friend's live in. It's humid AF but it feels great to roam without responsibility. The site felt private-ish... though a truck did pull in and park toward the end of my video. I do not feel as comfortable in DC as I do in Baltimore. There were several alleys I walked down that could have been suitable sites. I do feel like a stranger and think respecting pace is important. To what extent is an outdoor space public, especially an alley? My movement started from an impulse I had last night after finishing yesterday's dance and returning to my friend's home. Tomorrow I go back to Baltimore. I am looking forward to being home in many senses. I am grateful for the time spent in DC, caring for my friend's and their family. Day one hundred sixty-three.
