I've been in a funky mood all day. My period is likely to start any day now. Probably tomorrow. I'm on a wide open lawn on the JHU Homewood campus. It is sunset. At first, I am drawn to the sun, glowing orange, an ember in the sky. As I approach a tree that looks sad and poorly groomed, I see a scene of feathers all over the grass. Something happened to a bird on this site. However, there is no bird body to be seen. I can hear and see people as they roam about. Today I feel tired and do not care about this project. The flies buzz around chunks of feathers... there must be meat somewhere. Day one hundred eighty-five.
