DAILY DANCE BLOG

July 24, 2020

9:02pm, Mace Street and W 27th Street, Baltimore, MD

Today was full. It started with a tummy ache from last night. I was prepping for my trip most of the day. It was down-pouring on my way back from picking up tshirts for a quilt commission. I ate dinner before I danced. I missed the rest of the workshop. Ideas that have stuck in my head and that I continue to explore; all limb movement begins in the core, activated abdominal muscles, transitioning between different textures of movement, following through, defined and hard stops, facial expressions. When I framed this site, I caught the tail end of light... the sky has a particular blue just before it completely darkens. Another alley street. Walking the alleys has become a regular part of my pandemic life. Slow growing familiarity. Grounded to the grid. Day two hundred six.
