3:51pm, Mount Royal Terrace and Lennox Street, Baltimore, MD
I walked over to Reservoir Hill for a social distancing visit with a family I nannied for. I also dropped off some masks for them. Was going to try to dance in the huge demoed lot but the gate was properly secured this time. I really have to pee. Today's prompt is PERSISTENCE. Showing up to this project day in and day out is persistence. Creating is persistence. Waking up is persistence. So much of our daily lives is not about persistence. It doesn't feel like a challenge to move when I come upon this idyllic site. Spring exemplified. Bees are happily tasting and collecting from the tree blossoms. I embody the bee and the branches. I am in worship of this moment and these beings that are part of my world. For a short period of time, I lived over here. This little park was a dance site for me when I first moved back to Baltimore. I am grateful for all the daily moments I've had with this city during this project and beyond. Baltimore is persistent. I am persistent. Day ninety-six.
