DAILY DANCE BLOG

4:56pm, Barclay Elementary School parking lot, Baltimore, MD

Today is beautiful. Warm with a gorgeous breeze. Slightly overcast but not muggy. I love it. I endeavored to wake up early today but did not follow through with the intention. I am growing comfortable with how things are. Enjoying my non-routine, routine. I don't remember what today's prompt is. The movements I made felt limited but were in pursuit of understanding my compulsive shapes and how to better use them. At the end, I felt myself break out of the dance. I decided to let that break end the dance. I am performing on Friday night (live stream) so these last few days feel like rehearsal/movement research. I want to dance to Nirvana because it is slow and fast in ways that challenge my shape making. This site is a wide open parking lot. Maybe I'll ride my bike here sometime too. Day one hundred twenty.
